How much are housekeeping services?
Once we receive your booking request, we will get back to you with a quote based on the housekeeper's hourly rate. We do not quote fixed prices. On the day of service, based on actual condition of your home, the housekeeper may change the estimate.
How long should I expect my housekeeping service to take?
Our standard quoting process is based on the number of your bedrooms and bathrooms. This is strictly an estimate; actual charges will depend on the number of hours your housekeeper works. You can always request more or fewer hours during booking but the housekeepers require a minimum of 3 hours.
Which professional housekeeper will come to my home?
Anita’s Housekeeping has a big network of experienced, top-rated cleaners. Based on your requested date, time, priorities, and location, we match you with the best professional available for the job. If you like working with a specific professional, let us know so the professional will be requested first for all of your future bookings. Prior to your appointment, you will also receive notification with details about your professional.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our goal is to be helpful and flexible to your needs. But, we have some rules. These rules are designed to promote a reliable and consistent experience for customers like you and the cleaning professionals. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for more information.
What forms of payment do you take?

We currently operate in San Diego County, Santa Cruz County, and most areas of San Jose.
Can the housekeeper do my laundry?
If you would like the housekeeper to help with your laundry, please make sure to mention this in your priorities list so the housekeeper can set aside enough time to clean your home and still have time for laundry. Housekeepers need to have a working washer and dryer on the premise, as well as laundry detergent. And, if you use shared washers and/or dryers that require payments, please make sure to provide the correct amounts and the appropriate form of payment for the housekeeper.
Are the housekeepers employees of Anita's?
The housekeepers registered with us have been rigorously vetted and screened. However, Anita's Housekeeping Referral Agency does not employ any of the professional housekeepers listed with our registry.
What if something is damaged by the housekeeper?
The referred professional housekeepers treat your home with the greatest care; however, should damage occur while they clean your home, your independent housekeeper will be responsible for all damages.
How much should I tip my housekeeper?
Tipping is always appreciated but never required. It’s a great way to show your appreciation for a job well done. In our experience, we have found that cleaners are much more likely to accept your booking request or accommodate your needs when you’ve tipped them in the past.
